What is the Thermex process used in manufacturing?
Thermex is a German-approved quenching and self-tempering (QST) process. After rolling, the bars are rapidly quenched with water, creating a hard martensite outer ring. The residual heat then tempers the outer ring while maintaining a soft ferrite-pearlite inner core. This gives TMT bars their unique combination of high strength and ductility.

What is the carbon content of Gajkesari TMT 550D bars?
Carbon content in Fe 550D grade is maximum 0.25% (lower than IS standard of 0.25%). This low carbon content ensures excellent weldability and ductility without compromising strength.
